Welcome to Hopkins Family Park
Hopkins Family Park is a testament to the vision of Richard and Gwen Hopkins, who, inspired by their travels through county parks across the state, wanted to create a lasting community space. Established in 2015 with the donation of 41 acres of family farmland just southeast of Francisco, the park has since grown to 94.57 acres through additional generous donations from Gwen in 2018 and 2024.
This scenic park offers a variety of amenities for all ages, including shelter houses, picnic areas, a playground, a serene two-acre fishing pond, and a one-mile paved trail perfect for walking, biking, or nature exploration. Visitors can also enjoy the park’s beautiful pollinator plant gardens that enhance the natural landscape.
An exciting 18-hole disc golf course is currently in development, with plans for future additions like pickleball and basketball courts, as well as expanded trails.
Hopkins Family Park is open year-round from dawn to dusk, offering a peaceful retreat and recreational haven for the whole community.
