Gibson County Animal Services (GCAS) is a non-profit animal shelter located in Gibson County, Indiana. We care for animals in our shelter and seek to find them their “fur-ever” homes with loving families. When you adopt a pet from our shelter, it will have current vaccinations, it will have a microchip, and if it is not already spayed or neutered, you will receive a voucher to take to your vet.
All of that is covered by the adoption fee.
GCAS’s purpose is to serve any and all residents of the Gibson County Community. The organization is created and will be operated exclusively for

Help Wanted:
Part-time Animal Care & Kennel-Cleaner: Apply in person at the shelter.
GCAS, a small non-profit animal shelter, needs a part-time employee to assist in animal care, with a focus on cleaning dog kennels and cat cages. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player who loves animals and isn’t afraid of hard work and some dirt and will join our mission to help keep our dogs and cats healthy and happy as they wait for their furever homes.
Duties include the following:
- Clean dog and cat kennels • Focus on sanitation to assure animals’ health
- Lift and carry heavy bags of food and litter (up to 50 lbs)
- Work weekends and occasional after-hours shift
Employees must be able to pass a drug screening test.
