Created in the summer of 2014, the Gibson County Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for the development and management of the county owned parks and recreational facilities while "Enhancing the Quality of Life Through Recreation."

The Board is comprised of seven members of the County that was created by County Ordinance within the laws of Indiana State Code.

The Gibson County Department of Parks and Recreation Board meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:00PM, unless otherwise posted, at the Gibson County South Annex Building located at 203 S. Prince Street , Suite B , Princeton , IN 47670. You can contact the Board via email parkboard@gibsoncounty-in.gov​.
