The Gibson Heath Department will offer a free COVID-19 testing site at the Gibson County Fairgrounds 4-H Exhibit Building, located at 709 N Embree Street, Princeton on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. There will be no testing on Wednesdays or on holidays. Registration is preferred but walk-ins are welcome.
Testing will be available to all members of the public regardless of symptoms. Children as young as 2 years of age can be tested with parental consent.
Individuals should bring proof of Indiana residency such as a state-issued ID, work ID or utility bill. Walk-ins will be welcome, but to avoid waiting in line, individuals can register for an appointment by visiting www.scheduling.coronavirus.in.gov 24 hours a day or by calling (812) 635-1702 during testing hours.
This testing is made possible through a grant from the Indiana Department of Health to ensure that community testing is available anywhere there is a need. Through this grant, all the testing supplies and equipment, including test kits, personal protective equipment (PPE), sanitizer and the platform for registration and data management, are provided. The grant continues through June 30, 2021 and is renewable.
